Here goes nothing....

So, I've been wanting to do this forever...but just have had no time! Not that it means I have time now, but you know how things go. I feel like this will be a more productive use of my time, or dhould I say "facebook time".....my hubby says that my blog title makes not sense to just the average reader glancing at my page- so, I will use my first post to explain it...About 3 months ago the Lord really began to work on my heart and I've been going through a season of self-reflection and evaluation. Upon doing this, I realized a desperate need for an attitude change, one which reflects the One who lives in me! I wanted to leave a worthy legacy imprinted on the hearts of my family, especailly my 16 month old son, my friends and my students. So, since then, my daily goal is to take the lemons of life, (whether it be a grumpy, teething baby, a husband who works late, a frustrating trip to Wal-Mart -and they are almost always frustrating- or an exceptionally trying day at school-) hand them over to God (the owner of the "stand") and wait (patiently) for my cup to be filled with sweet, refreshing and satisfying lemonade. So...the posts on my blog will hopefully show how the Lord continues to work in my life and mold me into a more positive and optimistic person......Here are some verses that have been an encouragement to me lately on my journey..... have you tasted the Lord's lemonade lately?

John 4:14- Jesus answered, "Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, 14but whoever drinks the water I give him will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life."

Psalm 19:14- May the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, O LORD, my Rock and my Redeemer.

Ever since we passed notes in High School I could tell you had a talent for expressing yourself, and as I always have I look forward to reading. I will miss the hand decorated borders ;)
